KIMJ was born in Glen Cove, NY, where at a very young age fell in love with the alto sax. One thing that sets her apart from many others is the fact that she has never been formally trained and learned to play by ear while in grammar school. KIMJ has been playing alto sax ever since in as many different venues as possible. Currently KIMJ is working on her original compositions. She also is the sax soloist featured on "He's My DJ," written by Carolyn Victorian for POJI Records.
KIMJ plays the sax with so much intimacy, you can feel the love that exudes from within her (almost to the point of indecency). To her the music she plays is as much a part of her. It is like the air that she breathes (something she can't live without). You won't want to miss her enjoyable performances.
